H-701 either has to be used with a compatable Alpine HU, or and external tuner thingy doesnt it?

For instance, my mids are straight accross from each other in the stock location, only because thats about the only option I had. Tweeters were mounted on the highest part of the speaker grille, aimed up and back some.
Left side was delayed 1.7 milliseconds, with the left side -2 db in volume.
This gave me a stage that sounded centered right at my head...for the mids, but it was a little biased to the left side tweet, since it was RIGH THERE....so I moved that tweeter down to the bottom of the speaker grille, had to adjust my time alignment back to 1.5 milliseconds, and the left side is only reduced -1 db.
This gives me a sound stage that is centered smack infront of me when Im driving, and extends out the the right and left evenly...
It could use some more tweeking, but without some major mods to the doors for better speaker aiming, its not going to happen...
Understood So this is why Brypink suggested that I get the H701 when it was 1/2 price. I messed up

The 700/701 will work with any system provided you also get the RUX controller.
