so those that deal with ben, good luck i hope he doesnt do you wrong
I have 2 ED 11KV2's and I love them I have around 350 to each in a sealed downfire and they get loud when I want it and stay clean. It was hard for me to buy the subs because this was my first experience with them and I had not heard them before, but my next subs will definatly be ED.

How are you doing the sound stage aiming?

I really need some serious time alignment

now if only I can get my front stage . I want the {left channel} to sound centered to the steering wheel... and I want the right channel to sound like its comming from the cigarette lighter... instead of the pass door

Speaker placement, timing, and speaker level.
For instance, my mids are straight accross from each other in the stock location, only because thats about the only option I had. Tweeters were mounted on the highest part of the speaker grille, aimed up and back some.
Left side was delayed 1.7 milliseconds, with the left side -2 db in volume.
This gave me a stage that sounded centered right at my head...for the mids, but it was a little biased to the left side tweet, since it was RIGH THERE....so I moved that tweeter down to the bottom of the speaker grille, had to adjust my time alignment back to 1.5 milliseconds, and the left side is only reduced -1 db.
This gives me a sound stage that is centered smack infront of me when Im driving, and extends out the the right and left evenly...
It could use some more tweeking, but without some major mods to the doors for better speaker aiming, its not going to happen...

I need the equipment to make the adjustments.... cause I can hear the timing problem now. hight now with the stock 5x7s I have the balance shifted to the left because the volume of the right is higher than the left in the midrange when everything is flat and centered. what I want to do is get some delay on that left driver and then eq each channel so nothing shiftsto the left or right up and down the frequency response... basically use the eq to shift each freq to the center and then use a RTA to attenuate whatever isn't flat after that..... god I need that h-701
That HU has no internal time alignment and processing type stuff? Thats crazy.
Anyway, I know Eclipse makes an outboard EQ with time alighment and level and what not...I cant remember exactley what the model is though. Ill try to search for it right now...
