How to wire remote for amp
I'm just beginning to wire my truck for my new subs, and I was wondering whats the best (and easiest) to tie into for my remote power on my amp. I have some ideas, but I figured if anyone could save me some trouble, it would be you guys. Truck is an 02 SuperCab. Thanks.
dont the radio have a remote wire? the last amp i hooked up was about 10 years ago but dont most aftermarket radios have a remote wire? if not anything that turns on with the key will work the remote wire dont pull a lot of power. i would probably go with the one on the radio that truns on with the key

On my 99 there was a Black wire with a pinkish/redish stripe on it that I used as a turn on wire.
It runs off the ignition, so whenever the key is on, the amp will be on, even if the radio is off.
There is no factory turn on wire that I know of...
Like styx said though, any ignition switched wire will work. There are tons of them, just have too look...
There is that black/red one like I said though.
