back seat removal

back seat removal

how do you take out the back seat? Im trying to put two 12's under there and dont know what to take out. i got the back now i just need the seat part so i can build the custom box. Its an 06 f150 supercab STX

You'll need some big quality torq bits and a good breaker bar to get those big seat bolts out. I think there are 4 bolts in the back, the 2 seatbelt bolts, and 4 bolts on the front part of the seats. All are pretty easy to spot.

In case you need the back off (to place an amp or two) use the link in my sig for directions...

can you get the upright part off the back seat without the bottom part? Like to install the amp..........

EDIT: Nevermind I checked out your sweet gallery pix. I was wondering why you "tapped" into the factory wiring, is that because you used the factory HU?

you'll need a t50torx bit for the front 3 bolts, and an 18mm deep socket for the 4 rear bolts

Yes... I didn't cut any factory wires by doing the tap...

Dude, you're awesome for making your "how to" stuff! makes it easier for us rookies. I am filling up my head with info from everyone on these forums. I should be able to teach classes by the time I get ready to actually install my set-up.:o
