kicker l5's in place of 10's

kicker l5's in place of 10's

ya im planing on taking my 10" kicker comps out and puting 12" kicker l5's in the place of them. i just have to butcher my box in my scab to fit them. what amp do yall think i would need to run those. right now i have a boss 1000 watt amp. thanks

How much do you want to spend on an amp.

What coil configuration are those subs also (DVC 4 ohm, DVC 4 ohm??)

You are going to want around 800-1000 watts RMS. Look at RMS rating, not peak also. That Boss '1000' watt amp probably does about 300 real watts.

Before you butcher your box beyond repair, will those L5s fit for sure, mounting depth wise...

if you truck is a 97-03 scab, then they probably won't fit without a seat lift. i have two 10" L5s and they won't fit. they have about a 6" mounting depth. if you can fit them i would like to see.

yes i have allready check that they would fit in depht. and its a 2006 f150 scab.
