Vertical Box in your scab
Vertical Box in your scab
I am thinking of making a Vertical box to fit a 10" sub that requires 1+ cuft of air. In my mind right now I am thinking of sticking it behind the passenger seat where the single portion of the rear seat folds up. My goal is to make it nice looking and perhaps incorporate some sort of OEM looking cupholder into it maybe.
I don't drive with a full truck more than a few times a year so I figure I will make an easy way for ME to remove it and not a theif.
Has anyone seen any boxes like this yet?? if so can you post pics or pros and cons....thanks.

I wanna try and make it as low as possible so it can be functional in some way. just not sure what yet. maybe just an arm rest that vibrates.

What are the specs of the box? and do you have it attached somehow?

Safe? No. Comfortable? No.....Oh well
I ripped the seat belt latches out so theres no buckling up, I never saw anyone in the back seat buckle up though
I very rarely have more than three people in my truck at a time, so rear seating really is no concern for me. If I know anyone is going to sit back there I will throw one of those big long body pillows on there for some cushion.
Rear seat functionality (is that a word) was not really my top priority as you can see.
Yes the box is attatched. I have a piece of flat iron bent into an 'L' shape that bolts to the factory seat bolts on the floor, then I have bolts running through the 'legs' on the box and the vertical part of the 'L'. That pic was taken right after I finished to box so its not held down at all in that pic.
Needless to say, that box isnt going to go anywhere...
Box is 2.15 cubes TOTAL tuned to 29 hz. Minus driver displacement and its 2 cubes.

Tuned to 29hz? seems a little low to me, but whatever floats your boat.
