For the price...Ill make due. Itll be replacing my current Mitsu rear projection 55 1080i
Thats a good set and a great price. It's 1080p. DO NOT look into more info on the rainbow effect with DLPs. If you don't know what it is, than 99% chance you'll never notice it.

Even though the LCOS has a better PQ than the DLPs...it's so close that it wouldn't matter. Especially, at that price. I would jump on a Samsung HLS-7178W if I could get it at 50% or more off.

Im familiar with it and have seen it, but not enough to convince to spend that much more. Unfortunately now with the children I dont get to enjoy the livingroom as much for movies.

I actually wanted the 7178 or even the 6767. I use his login info all day long to see availability...7178 still isnt back up for me to order and the 6767 is Alot more money that the 6188 due to its lower percentage of production.

Pony up a few extra smacks and get the Germs for the front stage.

I am still planning on getting the SLs for the rear. Just don't tell Styx!

Germs are where I would start up front. I just want to know if I'm better off with the Profi Kicks or Profi Van Kicks. I'm also for rear speakers!

Forget the rear fill and go BIG up front...like the PowerLines or Platinums. That's what I would do.

Don, you need to go to my thread in the amp section. You'll know it when you see it. It's the biggest one...we just shoot the s.h.i.t. there.
