Probox supercrew sub?

Bought a probox 04+supercrew yesterday for a 10" sub. Just wondering which sub is everyone using with this box and has anyone had any problems with the sub hitting the bottom of the seat? It seems like a pretty tight fit.

What are the specs on that box of yours? I.E.: mounting depth, air space, is it for a 10" or an 8"? Do you have the box in your truck? If so how much room is left for excursion?

It is for a 10" sub. Mounting depth is 5.50". No idea on airspace. The bottom of the seat touches the box. Here are the pic from their website.

Is that box ported???? It looks like a well built box except for it allows for no sub excursion... I hope your not looking for high SPL but you may be able to get a great SQ sub with a low XMax excursion. Beings it is up firing, and butts up against the bottom of the seat you dont want a sub that will extend into the seat, These seats have metal brackets going across the bottom that will ruin a sub in no time.

Yes, it is ported. What kind of subs would be a great SQ sub with a low XMax excursion? Thanks

I was thinking about getting the same box, but I'm unsure of the up-firing. Should be interesting to hear the feedback on this one......

Reply to Probox...

Well I have the probox for 2 tens df....I asked the guy who made the box what were the specs on it and he was like 4 1/2 and .75 air space. But i bought the loaded edition...On that box you have it is 1.0 cf of air space...I was going to go with that one at first and the speaker that will fit good in it is a punch p3 any other speaker I do not know...But that is the air space for that box...The guy from probox recommened me to the 2 10's df'ering its a good package since it came with the subs...but I just cant use my speakers the way I want. It sounds hella good on the inside but out doesnt seem the same. Sorry I have no pics to show you but I want to make some more mods before I post anything...

upfiring...

I have seen posts in the past about the upfiring and if it doesnt have enough space b/w the seat and the sub its going to keep hitting the seat.

I've tried up firing boxes in the past and they typically don't put out much volume. You can feel it shaking, but the seat muffles the woofer.

I'm curious how this one sounds.
