Experiance with QLogic or MTX Sub Enclosures?

Does anyone have experience with the QLogic or MTX sub enclosures for the '04+ Screw?

Got it in my '04 Scab ... see gallery for pics. Fits like a glove, just be careful on getting a sub that fits depth-wise.

I used the Q logic for a while. Not bad, fits good. Just a bit pricey for a box to hold a single 10. I paid less locally for a box to hold dual 10's.

Thanks, guys. Awesome pics of both trucks. So the QLogic enclusure is plenty rigid, huh?

Dconder, man that Alpine HU does look like it's part of the truck! How's your Sirius antenna work there under the windshield? I would imagine just fine since they're now making portable handheld units.

The Q logic should work good for you as long as you do not try to get too much out of it. There is a lot of plastic there.

The antenna works great. The only time I ever loose signal is when I pull in the garage or under Sonic Drive In or something like that. Driving down the road, I never loose it. The tuner is behind the radio so, it made for an easy run of cable.

Well, I ended up with the amplified MTX Thunderform. My dilema was finding a place to mount a sub amp, and this unit has it installed internally. It came pre-loaded with a T4500 woofer. I spent a couple of hours this afternoon "tuning" everything, and it REALLY sounds great along with my other components. Fits great and looks good, too.

TFord,

Do you have any problems with the amp on the MTX Thunderform cutting out?

I've had mine installed for a couple weeks now, and all of a sudden its' cutting out on songs with loud bass. I am going to mess with the gains on my line output converter and see if thats the problem. It sucks since it was working perfectly without cutting out or anything no matter how loud I went.

Hope you don't have this problem.

I had a MTX thunderform in my '97. I loved it but, they are a little pricy for what you get.

Joe, just saw your post. Once I got it going I've had no problems. One of the speakers wires was disconnected upon arrival. Also, the power harness had bad solder joints which broke loose - MTX cust svc said a known problem and quickly replaced harness for free. Maybe you should check both for a loose connection.

I've been pleased so far - this thing rocks! Good luck!
