speaker advice

I own a 2004 FX4 and I am looking to replace the factory speakers with something much better. I just upgraded my factory head unit with a Pioneer Avic-D3 and I am starting to notice just how poorly the factory speakers sound. I am hoping to spend no more than $100 per pair, but I am willing to overspend if I can come across something worth while. Can you recomend any specific brands and/or models that would sound good and go well with my truck? Will these upgraded speakers sound okay without the use of an amplifier?

The Pioneer Rev series are VERY worhtwhile. Really, just awesome speakers. I think the TS-D681 is the current model. You'll be amazed.

Would you recomend the use of an amplifier with these or other aftermarket speakers?
