What gives the best bang for the buck?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what subwoofer I should get that is durable and hits hard but won't empty my wallet. I had a nice system set up but my subwoofer went bad. I have a 700W amp and a 12in. bass reflex box. I would like to stay with a 12in. subwoofer. Also I'm looking at replacing the 6x8 factory door speakers that have a nice loud sound but aren't too expensive. If anyone has any suggestions, please tell me. Thanks.

Check into Cadence Subs. I personally go with JLs, but for the purpose of answering your question, the Cadence Subs, for the money are damn good. I have two friends that have them and love them. I like the Polks for your doors.

It's 700 watts RMS and I can run it at 2 or 4 ohms.

Thanks Big Dave for the advice. I took a look at some on the internet and they look like good subs. Do you know how durable they are? I'm tired of spending money on subs that blow out in a couple months.

BigRed, I have some Pioneer TS-D680R's in all 4 doors that absolutely rock. Kevlar cones, rated to handle 250 watts each. With an amp to these speakers, you can get by without a sub.

I have been looking at the pheonix golds and I think that's what I'm getting for the doors.

As far as the sub goes, mounting depth is not a problem. I took out part of my rear seat so I could put a big box back there. For price, I would like to stay around $100, or $150 at the most. I just bought a bunch of stuff for my truck and I'm nearly broke.

Go with diamond audio products they are outstanding. I have used JL, punch, pioneer, cadence, alpine, and kenwood. I believe Diamond audio outperforms them all. They are however more expensive than pioneer, kenwood, and punch...For the price, pioneer products are good though.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions.

I'm not too sure if I want to order my speakers off of eBay because I have no way of knowing what kind of condition they are in. I would hate to buy something and then find out that it is blown. Has anyone else ordered their speakers/subwoofers off eBay?

If you use your head on ebay you shouldnt have a problem. Get them new, from an Ebay store that has a lot of possitive feedback, and you should be just fine.
