What size is the tweeter pod in the new model f150's?? I have to think its made for a 3/4" tweeter but im not sure. Anyone know? I know I can fit a 1 inch with some modifications but what size would I use to get a perfect fit w/o modding the hole??

 

It can be a bitch to find a "drop in" tweeter. I have 4 pair to choose from, and still ended up taking off the door panel, and mounting infinity kappas from behind the panel with the supplied mounting equip. I did not use the swivel option. The grill on the door has very little room for a tweeter that sticks out.
I had a pair of sound stream tweets that would have been pretty easy to mount without removing the panel. (but I lost one of the flush mount pods). I still would have had to enlarge it a tiny bit.
Just because a tweet is 3/4" does not mean it will fit without mods, due to it possitbly sticking out even when flush mounted.
My infinity did not require any mod to the holes, other than I lightly tapped and screwed them into the plastic panel from the back. You cant see they are there.
