Elemental Designs 11Kv2. Go to there website, www.edesignaudio.com, type forum in the search bar and you can get a pair of subs for around $150 shipped. One of the best value subs you can buy.

Working and fishing. Been spending to much time on my boat. Always something to change or fix. Besides with all these new guys coming on board, I started to feel old.
Good news is the system is still kicking butt. Not a problem since install.
Getting the fever for a new truck though. Might be on more often. New system maybe.

No, not yet. What ever it is, it will have RE subs though. I beaten the hell out of those things for a long time with no problems. Always fun seeing peoples faces when they find out that it's just 2 8'' making all that noise. I'll decide after I get the truck.

Cool. RE does make some impressive drivers for the money. Ive never owned one, so I guess I dont know about their durability to much. Sure have heard quite a few RE setups and they arent to bad.
Of course now with the dealer pricing and the buyout thier cost are crazy...not sure I would want to buy one new from a dealer.
Last time I looked a SE 12 was around 300+ dollars IIRC...Used to be able to get them new for like 150. Crazy.

ding, I had 4 re8's in my old car, they are fun little drivers, but now it makes no sense to buy re8's anymore, it was cool when they were 30 bucks each shipped direct from RE but now they have the priced jacked so high up that it makes better sense to look elsewhere, specially if your looking for an SQ oriented 8.... which after my experience the RE8 is not. it hold its own but the elemental designs 9Kv.2 has a much better response, the 40-80hz kick is so much tighter and kicks alot better

Yep...seems like the little Assassin 8 kind of took over the budget 8 category.

You really like the eD's huh. Seems like a lot of people on here have been getting them lately. I dont even think I would run anything eD, personally. There just something about them....

ding....lol..... I was in the same boat for the logest time, I didn like eD for some reason.. and everyone was like eD this and that I vowed never to use anything other than RE... that was before the buyout, screw brand loyalty, I was in the market for some 8s and didn't want to buy 4 Re8s again.. so it was the assasin or the 9Kv.2 well the assasins wernt avaliable at the time and I got 4 9Kv2's for a bargain. right now I got one in a ported box tuned way to high and it still sounds good, lacks 20-30 hz but that's why I got three more

I'm not sure what everybody on here thinks about them.. I'm suprised I haven't found them listed here. I purchased three Kicker S8L7's ('06 model) for the simple fact that there's absolutly no room in the cab of a '96 Ranger Reg Cab. The mounting depth (well under 5"), 450 RMS/900 Peak output and being 8" makes it a very versatile sub. Reasonable price, great quality and awesome sound. Granted, it's nothing to shake the neighborhood awake with. But for those seeking a sub to fit in tighter spaces with decent power output.. I'd highly recommend it.

Lol, yep.

Scott from RE went ahead and formed Fi Audio then, and now Fi Audio and Ascendant Audio have some partnership thingy going on. Not sure if you heard that either.
