Recommendations on 5.25 or 6.25 speakers

Hey,
I want to replace my front 5x7 speakers with a 5.25 or 6.25 speaker. First off, can the 6.25's fit with an adapter plate, or just the 5.25 without cutting? Second, any recommendations on which speaker to get? Under $150 for the pair. Will be run off a Kenwood Excelon HU for the time being. Not interested in components. I have a sub, so im looking for good highs and some mids. Listen to rap, country, rock. Any suggestions are appreciated!

in that low price range, coaxial, the only thing I can recommend is Rainbow SL5X7... and only if you're planning to installing a small amp.... say MIN 50W RMS to 80W RMS MAX per channel in a properly prepped door (sealed)

or Rainbow SL130 and drop the 80W RMS MAX to 60W

Why not just stick with a 6x8 . Just screw them in and go .
