Big *** box

This box down fires, it gives me a bandpass effect.

I am Proud of this box!

And that is a factory antenna incase you are wondering, it works with my tuner.

Good job. Did you build the box yourself?

Yes i built the box myself. i think i built it a cubic foot too big, because the specs say only 2 cubic feet but i did 3. the subwoofer can drop down so low and it can also sound just like a bass drum being very tight and quik.

It sounds incredible. the bass is very tight. i know i already said that but i am amazed. when i bought the sub it came in a 4 cubic foot box ported and it was loose and i never could get the right sound out of it. it was also in the trunk of my civic and it just was not working.

I saw the pics of your install, it looks sweet. did you biuld the box yourself?? also how much air space do you have for each sub, or are they sharing airspace?

Also i wanted you to know that i am a big JL Audio fan but i didnt have the money to buy what i wanted. i wanted to buy a W7 with the 1000/1 amp, mabey one day. but that will be the last sub i ever buy for myself, i will have it till i die when i do buy it.

Good job on the install!

yeh, i work at a local audio shop so a friend and i did it one weekend. it was a pain in the *** becasuse we had to fiber glass a portion of the bottom because there is a metal hump behind the seat in the screw that it had to go over. the subs share the airspace but it think its a bit under 3 cubic feet.
it is nice and tight. the w1 is a nice sub and im a die hard JL fan so these, being the only JL sub that would fit in the screw without any major mods, i went with em. the low end respons is clean and tight.. just isnt that pwerful.. thats the only downside but i cant complain. the w7 is the most amazing subwoofer and the 13.5 W7 with the 1000.1 is pure sex! our shop did a cut through in a 2004 f150 screw with 6 13.5 inch w7s with 6 1000.1s and 4 300.4s for the beyma mids and tweets that were in it. it had 23 tvs including a 42 inch plasma in the back. it hit a 164.7 in the spl contest.. pretty damn loud!
