BM's on the way.

Hey guys, just bought 2 si bm10's from audio junkies. Eventually I was gonna go with 2 d6's tens, but i've hear nothing but good things about these bm's so i decided to go with them. My only dilema is an amp. They recomend 600 watts at 4ohms per. Anyone know of an amp that will do somewhere around 1000 to 1500 @4 ohms that wont cost me an arm and a leg? Looking to spend under 400.
Thanks for the help guys! I will also continue searching.

Hey neighbor...(im in fort worth) im thinking about going with 1 SI BM 10" and getting the Alpine MRD-M605 to power it with... Let me know what amp you get to run those bad boys and how they sound... also are you getting a seat lift to put a custom box with more air space or what is your set up going to consist of...

Cool. Do a good write-up on them. I haven't been able to play around with one yet.

About the amp...it would be easier to find an amp that can do 1000-1500 @ 1 ohm (which you can wire 2 of them to).

Nope. Thats the only thing I don't like about SI. Same with the MAGs...only 2ohm.

BestNtx,
Yup, im getting the lmi 2.5 and building a custom box for them. I'm not exactly sure dimensions yet due to i havent had time to sit down and draw the plans out yet. It will be comprable to Brypinks box for his mags, just with not as much mounting depth. Ill be sure and let you know when i figure it all out. What part of fort worth you in?

sounds awsome man, I really would love to do a set up like that i just cannot justify spending that much on an LMI 2.5 building a box would be no problem for me its just the cost of the whole set-up(ouch!!!) but i guess you gotta pay to play... im in the north part of ft worth. what about you what part of the metro...

I got my BM10 yesterday and installed it today in my q-logic box. Sounds pretty good for brand new. I'll give it a few days to loosen up then I can judge it better. Cause right now my Polk MOMO sub sounded better and it was unimpressive before it broke in.

BestNtx, im right outside of grapevine.
Impact, let me know how that goes man, its never too late to return them for some mags or 2 d6's . I think the only reason why i didnt go with the mags in the first place is because i would have to spend almost double for them and an amp to power them. They can sure eat up some watts
