Question radio removal

I am wanting to access the rear of my radio to hook up RCA cables for an amp and sub woofer. How do I remove the radio in a 2004 F-150?

Not too sure if you will find any RCA inputs back there, you may need some type of wire harness to do that. To get at the head unit, you open the ash tray, and simply pull the centre trim off. It's just stuck on with posts & holes, so with a bit of force, it will come off from the bottom upwards.

I have removed mine many times.....feels a but un-natural at first, like you might break it, but it does come off, and goes back on very easily as well.

Hope that helps,

CHIA

You will likely have to buy a line output converter to convert your speaker wires to accept the RCA cables, something like THIS will work.
