Yep, the whole 5x7 pocket had to be cut off plus some. On this particular door, the baffle (1.5" thick) didn't line up just right. The binding post on these monsters are huge and it almost didn't fit...when I turned it upside down...it fit perfect. As we all know...it doesn't effect performance at all and with the speaker grille on and the door panel grille who's the wiser?

I here ya, I was just bustin your *****! I'm sure you could mount those sumbiches upside down and inside out in a soccer ball and still sound badass.
BTW, how much did they set you back?

Yeah, I know...it's all good.

They work really well in an IB set-up...and probably even better in a soccer ball. lol

Price...well...I'm not suppose to say. lol They list for $1299, my dealer sells them for $950...let's just say I got them for quite a bit less than that.

I definitely can say they are the best speakers for the money. Just amazing midbass and the CAL27 is awesome. Laid back enough for my taste yet very dynamic and accurate in a pinch (even with lots of volume). I can honestly say, I think they cured my upgraditis.

Any new updates on the Rainbows, brypink2? Just wondering how they are doing since you've got to listen to them & spend some time on them.
