Any info on the Kenwood KSC-SW1

I want to add a sub to my truck, and I am on a wife budget. I want one but the wife says no. So as usual, I said I would see what was available at the cheapest price.

I know the bass-link wont fit under the rear seats of an 04 SCAB, but the Kenwood will. Anyone have any feeling on it? Reviews from Crutchfield were very good from 49 people. The few negatives were because of distortion, which I expect from a small setup.

Since I will running a line converter, will this add distortion to the already small unit?

Any feelings? . Oh and it has low inputs for RCA or high from speakers.

I have one that I ran in my SCab for about three months. When adding to the factory stereo, it functions much as the Audiophile sub does: not a lot of thump, but certainly powerful and sufficient to add musical bass tone to whatever you are listening to.

Another advantage is that is easily removed if you need to fold up the rear seat and use the storage space inside.

While it certainly doesn't replace a 10 or 12, it gives a nice tone and makes your music sound fuller.
