Masonite would be what you could make the spacer out of. Seal it with liquid nails or silicone or something similar. You could do the ebay spacer above, but 3/4' might cause a new clearance issue ouside of the box. You need to measure before you do anything.

 

I ended up using a 1/4" piece of wood that is working fine so far
