Question about system?

Ok, I'm not an expert on installs or anything and this is driving me crazy. Can I use this amplifer....

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-HY4eUAJ...=108R5761A#Tab

...to power my four door speakers with 57 watts each which are these...

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-HY4eUAJ...sp?I=1086812CF

...and then have 287 watts going to this one sub....

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-HY4eUAJ...E1&i=108PER101

It says that that amp has 56 watts RMS x 4 + 287 watts RMS x 1 in 5-channel mode, but when I look at the online manual it says nothing about the five channel mode. Does this 287 come from bridging or something? I know, I'm an idiot about this stuff. A lot of it is just another language to me. Thanks in advance for any help....

Page 5 of that manual tells you how to hook it up in 5 channel mode and the specs you listed above should be correct.

Ok, I see it now. I have no clue how I overlooked that the first time. Thanks, I'm not thinking that I could pull off this install, I might just have somebody do it for me. This would all hook up and run off the deck ok right? I don't want to replace the factory 6 disc changer at all...

You would either need to use a Line Out Convertor to turn the factory speaker wires into rca low level outputs or that amp also has high level inputs. Meaning you could run the factory speaker wires right in to the amp. If you find a good installer, they should have no problems either way.

Awesome! Thanks for your help! I've been trying to learn more and more about this stuff, but it really is a lot to take on if you have no experience with it. Thanks again!

No problem. You will find lots of us on this forum willing to help. Some of us have been doing this for quite a while and we are still learning too.
