Best box in single cab?

I have 2 Memphis 10s on a Coustic amp. Listen to mostly rap and am looking for something that will pound. Any suggestions?

Well......

For rap you will want a ported enclosure, and you'll probably want to build it yourself. The port gives it that bigger, full sound you want with rap music. Also lets you tune the box nice and low.

Check out my gallery if you like...

One of these subs in a ported box tuned to 35Hz

Pounds hard but I couldn't fit the second sub in there and still maintain full seat movement...
You might be able to if your subs are shallower than mine (6.4" mounting depth)

Yeah local store told me ported is the best way to go. But honestly will it sound that much of a difference than sealed? Dam your depth is 6.4, thats big for a 10 must really pound. Mines are just 5

the difference is about 3 extra dbs. and a better lower extension before the freq response rolls off. the downside is a ported box is going to be twice the size of a sealed box

if you use a sealed box just make sure that you are able to build it to the specs of the sub, a sealed box in my opinion is way better then a ported i have never use any ported boxes always sealed and they have always sounded better then any of my friends and i have a smaller box then them butit is built to the specs of the sub btw im runnin a jl audio 12w6v2 dvc
