Old pic of mine. I still dont have a cushion on the top-cant find any vinyl to match.
Its the only way I could think of to get the airspace I wanted-and not have the seat hieght any higher than stock. 3.8 cu ft total-and not headroom sacraficed.
I think most of the passengers like it when I crank the stereo
Once I get a cushion on it-it should be pretty hard to tell theres a box there if your lookin through the window. Unless your lookin for it, I dont think youd notice it.
Interior is a little more cluttered since I cant shove stuff under the seat though.

I've got an 04 screw and I want more bass. I currenty have the audiophile system. My only idea at this point was to move the 8 from under the seat and put it in te center console and add a 10 in it's place (under the seat)
May I have a gander at these box plans... or what i'm more interested in is this "seat lift" you speak of.
How is it done, is it a kit, is it custom?
How much per sub can it get you?

Jwool15 - I'll lkeep you in mind when and if I get rid of my current box and subs. Keep in mind, you will have to get the LMI 2.5" seat lift for it to fit.
HardCoreHehaw - It's the LMI 2.5" seat lift. It's about $140 shipped IIRC. You can do a internet search for it or a search in 2004-2006 forum. I have about .80 ft^3 per sub in my current box. I wouldn't recommend this set-up with the stock audiophile system. I would replace everything, components, amps, HU, etc.
I've seen the bottom seat part replaced by the box and putting a seat cushion on it, but I'd rather keep my seat bottom for safety reasons.
I'm gonna start building the new box the weekend after this upcomiong weekend (I'll be out of town this weekend), but I will keep you guys updated.
