JL Sub in a MTX Thunderform.

Will a JL Audio sub fit in a MTX Thunderform? If so, which model??

The guys at the local shop told me that a JL 8w0 will fit. I think the '99 box is the same as the '03. Its not the best sub, but probably somewhat better than what comes from MTX.
