Please help me

Ok this will be the third time I have posted this here. My thread keeps disappearing for some reason. I did post this the audio forum, but not much replies given there.

I am in the process of adding a sub and CD changer to my truck. I have already picked out what I want but the problem I am having is where to put everything inside my truck. I have already added a new head unit and amp. (Check out gallery). The problem I am running into is if I purchase this sub box (http://musicmooseaudio.com/ford_f_150f_single.html, where could I move my amp to and also where could I put a CD changer at. Is there room under the passenger front seat to place one or the other? I have no problem taking the jack out since I have AAA anyway.

By the way, this is the CD changer I am looking to get. http://www.millionbuy.com/snycdx757mx.html

It matches the head unit so I can control the changer from it instead of having to rely of RF.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

The link to the sub box doesn't work for me?
I am assuming it will fit just like the factory one. I don't have an aftermarket system in my truck, just the factory audiophile factory sub/in dash 6 disc. I did install a 1200W inverter in place of the jack holder under the back seat. See pics in gallery.
It would be the perfect spot for the amp as it has lots of cooling space around it. Your amp looks smaller than my inverter. Just a thought, but could you mount the amp on the floor in place of the jack and mount the changer above it to the bottom of the seat? It would be easy access when you flip up the seat, and hidden.
There is also lots of space under the passenger seat, just not very good access.

Any pics of the inside of the truck? I have a few ideas but I don't know if they would work with your setup (i.e. which console do you have?).

I've seen one person stick a 6-Disc in the glove box. Worked out very well. I know several people who had it mounted it inside the console. I do know someone who tried to mount a CD changer and amp both under a new 05 SCrew seat. That one didn't work out too well. He ended up being the 1 guy I know who mounted it in his glove box (similar to how they used to do the DVD players for the LCD screens when you were running out of room). Unfortunately I can't give you any details because he got someone else to do it and the only thing I saw was the finished product.

I've got one amp under each one of my seats, and I only have an 02. The amp that powers my subs is under my driver seat, and the amp to power all my other speakers is under the passenger. I have toyed with several configurations in my SCab, so I am assuming the same would be true for an Screw. Bottom line is that the sub box sounds better TO ME when it's in a custom box under the back SCrew seat, flat and angled straight up against the seat to create some extra reverberation.

Is there enough room to mount the amp on the side or back of the sub box itself?

Thats where mine is.
Might I ask why you are messing with a disk changer? Why not an indash CD/MP3 player? Mounting space problem solved and less CD's in you truck too.

The link to the sub box works now. It had an extra character in it. It the box that is custom made for the supercrews.

Yes there are pics of my amp in my gallery. I have the standard supercrew setup for an 04 with the gear shift being down on the console.

My CD player does play MP3's but I dont like the sound quality. Also I think it would be easeir just to have a changer in stead of having to change out music all the time. I drive mostly at night since I work the late shift. I tend to try to remeber to change my CD out before leaving home, but sometimes I get in a rush and forget. I made the mistake of not buying a player with WMA. I almost did but for some reason I didn't. If I would have then I wouldnt have to worry about a CD changer since I can fit about 100 songs onto one disc.

I also have another question for you guys that have 4wd and have an aftermarket CD changer. Does your changer get bounced around alot when you go offroading?

My borther 97 has the factory changer, it is mounted in the rear door pocket. It would jump around occasionally but I took it apart and tightened the cd holder tension. Had already done my wifes explorers and we take both vehicles all over my property and dads farm, they rarely skip now.

I have a sub, amp, and cd changer in my truck there is plenty of room. I have not had a problem with mine skipping when I was offroad. If you run into a big problem let me know and I'll show you my setup. And if you want some help putting your stuff in I'll give you a hand.

It keeps disappearing because GD was the wrong forum for it.
I sent you an email stating that yesterday.

About the mp3's, what data rate are your mp3's encoded at. A 192Kbs encoded song is hardly dicernable from a CD if it's encoded properly. WMA in my experience is not any better than MP3.

Hey, if you are wanting that musicmoose box in tan, I have one I will sell you alot cheaper than theirs. I bought one from them and decided to go another route. It was in my truck maybe a week and has been sitting ever since. Email me if you are interested. I would love to sell it to you and get some of my money back.
