Question about watts.....

Ok, so i recently put 2 Audiobaun 12's and a Boss 1200watt amp in my f150 xlt. I have a JVC 200watt head unit, and the subs are 400watts a piece. I noticed if i turned the bass up too much, it begins to skip. Is this because of the difference in watts, or just from the bass hitting to hard????? If its the watts, then what can I do to solve the problem????

Thanks

If you mean the CD player skips, then the simple reason is probably from the excessive vibrations of the bass when it is "turned up", as you say.

I'm guessing it would be the stereo bc all the music stops.

Yea i guess it was just skipping from the bass being too high.......

A CD skipping is a pretty easy thing to recognize. If the music just flat out stops, then you may be causing your amp to go into protection. Is everything connected properly?
