hm

Yeah I'm not real in love with the rear setup, but I love that big lcd and the kickpanels. I'm probably going to be installing those somewhere down the road.
I'm suprised you can shell out that much money for the extra trim level and the audio setup but only went with the 4x2, which to me is just... odd.
Then again, I live in alaska. You don't see many 4x2's up here, except in the ditch.

I agree with you on the amp. It is the only thing I am not crazy about. I am thinking about putting it behind the rear seat but, I am also not crazy about not being able to access it easily to adjust. I am still debating it.

As for the 4 x 2 over the 4 x 4, I have no need for a 4 x 4 so, why spend the money. I like the lower 4 x 2, never go offroading and live in Oklahoma. Where maybe 2 or 3 days a year do we have to worry about slick roads. If that happens, we have a Honda Pilot with all wheel drive.

If you want to be able to adjust your amp without removing the seatback, get one(or 2) of the newer Kenwood eXelon amps. Since you have the the DDX7017, you can adjust the amps from the head unit with the CA-C6LN. It is pretty sweet to be able to do that and you should take advantage. You also free up some room under your seats and have a stealthy install. I have had 2 ARC audio amps (a ARC 2500CXL ARC 4050CXL) and these Kenwoods sound just as good, if not better, and have a lot more features and you can get them for a damn good deal. Sell that amp of yours on eBay and get the eXelons.

Actually, pretty easy. If I could break into my truck and had the right size socket, I could take the head unit out in like a minute or two and not break anything. I tinted my windows pretty dark and I always lock the vehicle. I might even consider an aftermarket alarm. Luckily, I live in a pretty safe area, knock on wood.

It would be easy, but the unit would be useless to the thief because I set the security code. Three tries and you'll be trying to call Kenwood and be shi+ out of luck because it is registered under my name. I also had an additional 5k added to the insurance for misc equipment.
