Sounds like you want an SQL set up and with 300 watts, you won't really be able to do too much SPL wise. Jl aside from the w7 is mainly SQ based, really for decent SQL you have to get into a higher wattage system with a pair of 10s or 12s. The stealthboxes are all designed to take advantage of fairly small spaces, and for a loud set up you need a decently sized box no matter what.

I agree with GA totally. The Stealthboxes are awesome but, they are geared more toward OEM integration and providing excellent SQ. If waking the neighbors is your goal, look elsewhere.

I have an avalanche 12 off of 800 watts going into 1.5 cubes ported. I havent gotten it all put in yet so i cant comment on the sound/spl yet. This is in a regular cab by the way.

I would reccomend two 10s/12s RE SEs and a seat lift with about 1k watts. Then it would be best if you could make your own box.

I don't know if I'd go with a blanket statement like that about the stealthboxes. I have the rear console stealthbox in my King Ranch and I put a 12W7 in it and I can wake the neighbors. It is excellent quality as well, not just loud bass. I was pushing it a little bit moving away from the recommended W6, but I am pleasantly surprised by the results. I won't be blowing this speaker with my amp, like I did with my previous Polk Momo 12's.

Ya thats why i gave the dub 7 its props, homie! Remember the w7 uses technology that most other companys havent even heard of yet, just look at the frickin surround on that beauty. But the w6v2 and lower jl lines have smaller power handling and limited excursion compared to what else is out there for the price. Also think about subs like the RE XXX, Adire Brahma and ID MAX that perform their best in relatively small sealed enclosures, but look into an even bigger seat lift with those.

I was assuming he meant the Stealthbox for under the rear seat. There is not room for a W7 under the rear seat. Or any sub that will "wake the neighbors". You mounting depth will be in the 5"-6" range. Not many SPL subs that fall into that category. Sorry for any confusion.

yeah i was referring to the rearseat stealth box from JL. they only make that one for the mark lt(king Ranch). whats a seat lift if you guys dont mind me asking. new to the forum. im not looking to put anything in the bed. if that was the case the skys the limit. there isnt much clearance under the seats like people say. any suggestion on a sub that would fit under there that would be loud but not to sacrifice sql.

Just a couple to look at:

Adire Audio Koda 10" (hard to find but excellent SQ)
Image Dynamics IDQ10
Arc Audio 10
Elemental Designs 11Kv.2

I have the Adire, Image, and ED subs now and I have had the Arc. All of them are top notch subs with shallow mounting depths. They will get pretty loud and sound awesome. These subs are geared more toward SQ than SPL.
