sub box

sub box

should a box for a sub be completly air tight. my box has a 3/16 hole in the back. just wondering if i should seal the hole or not.

If your box is a sealed box, then yes seal the box up. 3/16 isnt too big, so i am guessing its not a port, so i would seal it. Did you buy this box used, if so maybe the previous owner had it mounted using that hole.

thanks, when i looked at the hole closely i can see marks from a screw in the hole.
