Do these match?

Here are the subs i am buying kicker CVR's
http://cgi.ebay.com/BRAND-NEW-PAIR-2...QQcmdZViewItem

and this is the amp i found to power them Audiobahn A8002T
http://cgi.ebay.com/Audiobahn-A8002T...QQcmdZViewItem

i know you guys said their subs are junk, but i heard that their amps are pretty good quality. im not looking for anything spectacular, just a hard hitting system. MY buddys old kicker vr's with only 200 watts RMS pounded hard and got loud. I am expecting these newer 400 watt RMS subs will pound harder than his did. Is that the correct amp to power both subs at 400watts? I'm just trying to put together a cheap system, but still decent not walmart stuff lol. How do those things sound?

Will I need a CAP for running these subs or is the alternators on my 95 with 351 motor big enough? I know they are big alternators. Any other imput would be great

I think you would be better off to jump up to a nicer amp, overall not many people like audiobahn, so you would have to think its for a reason. I would try an amp like this http://cgi.ebay.com/AVIONIXX-AXT-800...QQcmdZViewItem , or an amp like mine maybe http://cgi.ebay.com/CADENCE-Z-SERIES...QQcmdZViewItem .

But you may be ok with the a-bahn since kickers arent really known for SQ, that amp will just have a less clear signal, and propablly wont give you 800 watts, like it says.

so avionixx is a good brand amp? kickers are decent subs i thought. my buddy has a more $$ one from them and it rocks. i think its clear. but then again i havent heard others. so since i havent had any kind of system and the stock speakers in my 95 blow, no bass, this would probably be good enough for me. They should pound pretty hard. I have to wait for my next paycheck then i will have enough $$ to buy everything. I will look at those 2 brands of amp and will find the best deal. Thanks

The Comp VR's offer some really good bang for buck. However, I would try and find a better deal. $68.95 for shipping is just plain wrong. It does not cost anywhere near that to send a pair of 12's. With their volume of shipping, it probably cost them half of that to actually ship.

i checked come actual companies on the internet like crutchfield and stuff and shipping is between 40-60. subs are not all that light. and $150 shipped or so for 2 kicker CVR 12" subs seems like a really good price to me...... Now are both of those amps good listed? Do you think I will need a cap for the system?

You are correct on the shipping. Everybody seems to be about the same price on ebay once you figure shipping. One place sells the subs for $129 and $39 shipping. Another place $99 and 69 shipping. So everybody is around the same $160-170 shipped.

I have never been a big fan of Audiobahn. Alot of flash and chrome but, not alot of performance. I can say that you can not buy a quality 800 watt amp for $129. It just does not work. If you just want it to move the subs, it might do that. You can get away with alot more on subwoofers because they only play a small number of frequencies. So the distortion is not as evident as it would be on components that play a wider range of frequencies. I have not heard Cadence but they have a good rep. The Avionixx would be a good choice too. I think both would be better than the Audiobahn.

That is a bit much for shipping, the shipping on my sub and amp together was less than 40 to ship them from two different companys. The shipping weight of my sub was around 40 pounds and only costs 22 bucks to ship, so its really just a sales trap to pay 60 bucks in shipping. Maybe you should just bid on them and if you can get some for dirt cheap, then give into the outrageous shipping charges.

Yeah, that shipping is crazy. My subs are 20 lbs a peice and shipping was like 13 bucks a piece-but they were only shipped from Illinios to Nebraska. But still, 70 dollar shipping for a what, 15 lbs sub maybe??

A Bahn rates their stuff wierd(they actually dont test it the same as others)-they will NEVER put out the power they are rated at-unless you send a crapload of voltage to the amp maybe.

It will work-just not the best.
If you wanna stay cheap-but something wtih pretty good quality, check out US Acoustics. Very nice amps for the money.

Dont buy caps. Your alt might work fine, might not, you wont really know 'till you get it all in and start bangin' at night. If your lights dim bad-buy a new, bigger, alternator.

No.

They are pretty much a joke-for MOST purposes. It might hold a charge for 1 second for a LITTLE extra voltage-but after that-its not really going to do crap but drag down your electrical system more since its just another load. On totaly readone-high current electrical systems-they do help a little-,but, on your stock system its a waste or 120 or so bucks. Do it the right way and throw in another 50 or so bucks and get a H.O. alternator of eBay if your electrical system is really struggling. If its not to bad-try a new battery and the big three-it will help a little.
