6 1/2's for front doors?

6 1/2's for front doors?
Will my 2005 F150 STX, accept 6.5 comps, or do i have to use 6x8's

You can put in 6/5" speakers, but you will need an adapter plate to connect them. I'm making one out of 1/4" wood.

i put 6.5" rounds in- no plate, just cut the plastic oval at the top and bottom to put them in...
