If I had to choose one of those 2 I would definitely choose the Kicker. They make great subs. What is the max mount depth that you can use for that box? Just make sure it fits. I don't think you could go wrong with the Kicker. Some of my hardest hitting subs have been Kicker Comp series.

MTX are horrible subs - I wouldn't touch one - Get one without paper or foam in the cones and a large magnet. I have a Pioneer sub and its a monster. I had to put in an adapter plate so it would clear the bottom of the box, but it is thunder roma.

subs

it depends on what kind of music you plan on listening to more....different subs hit differently for different kinds of music......if you enjoy country then i would recoment JL's, they hit very well w/ country music, if you want rap then i would stick w/ the kicker or something that hits hard, but the jl gets the deep notes for country songs
