2004 Supercab Amp and Sub Box Placement
Hey Everyone,
I have finally purchased all my audio equipment for my truck and now I am trying to decide where to mount it!
Here is what I have:
HU: Eclipse CD8454
Front Components: Focal 165W
Rear Speakers: JL TR570-CXi
Subs in box: 2 - 8" JL W0's (This takes up the rear driver area)
Amp1: JL 250/1
Amp2: JL 450/4
The 250/1 will easily fit under the passenger rear seat, but I am not sure where to mount the JL 450/4. I have seen posts that show the amp mounted behind the rear seat, but I am not sure that is a good idea since there is no ventilation. I have looked for a single 10" subbox that would fit under the passenger side and then I would have room to mount the amps on the driver side.
Any advice, suggestions, comments etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I dont know any place to mount them in a 04+, but just a note on the amp behind the seat. I have my sub amp behind the back seat, and it works fine. As long as the amp stays cool, or just a little warm to the touch, you wont have cooling problems.
Sound like a pretty nice stereo, good luck with it

I had mine custom made at my local stereo shop. I chose to go with 2 - 8" JL Audio W0's. http://www.dfwsystems.com/subbox0001.jpg (This takes up the rear driver area).

they actually manufacture a lot of the sub boxes for other companies and websites. they have boxes for almost every application.
