Seat lift kit

Does anyone have a pic of a truck with a seat lift kit on it?... i'm thinking about putting a seat lift kit on my rear seat. One more question.. should i get the seat lift or should i take the 40 out of my 60/40 rear bench seat and stack the subs?

Hey! Im considering the same thing, I just havent figured out which way to go yet.
I have a 2001 F-150xlt, the seat is a 60/40 split, but the backrest of the seat hooks to the back wall of the truck. Not to mention, the top of the backrest is parrallel with the rear window. Lifting the seat ALSO means lifting or adjusting the back rest and the seatbelt buckles....along with the seat heightening.
But pulling out the 40 seat DEFINATLEY would be easier, less time consuming, plus gives you different options for an enclosure design. I have a custom downfire box under my backseat, I even have it notched out where the 60 and 40 seat supports meet. The only problem is the box is a little over 6" high, and my subs really dont fit in it. The magnets bottom out in the box, and I have about 5/16 space between the woofer basket and the box, which I had to seal off with rubber rings, but Im still depriving myself of proper airspace. I have 2 1000w 10"s, and I know they can hit harder than they do.
I will probably go with removing the 40 seat, when I get it done, my truck will officially be the way I want it, and Ill take pics....everything form the Dynamat, wiring, subs, amp, HU,....everything. Good luck with yours dude.

i'd be interested in seeing how you did that. It looks fairly straightforward, except the middle one that's at an angle??

Dizzhead, having the magnet bottom out against the back of the box is not good! most subs have a vent for the pole piece that needs to breathe. You'd like to have a clearance at least equal to the diameter of the vent (which should be in the center of the magnet on the back).

I Just saw this thread the other day, and it ispired me to hurry up and start installing my subs(waiting till I could figure out some room), this morning I made up a buch of brackets out of 2" channel alluminum, and bolted them in, works great, now there is enough room or my 2 10's. Was fairly easy as well.

again, we are particularly interested in the middle bracket...the other two are simple and straightforward to work with.

what I did is I put the brackets that I made on top of the stock brackets, so that I would not have to worry about the angle and such.

I think I posted this message in the wrong thread previously - oops!
Anyway, check out my system. I have a 10" Polk MOMO sub and amp under my back seat with no lift kit. Click here

The enclosure plans are for sale - $10.00.

Mike

I have a proform sub box that fits 2 10s with adequate airspace for them to bust the seal on my back window. It comes with risers for the back seat. the box is kinda spendy like 250 bucks. It's sealed and sounds great. I got a pair of Diamond Audio 10's with a 1000 watt amp....dont have any pics though
