Components - Tweets

Anybody have pics of where they mounted their tweets and how they sound with that placement?

I just got my RE Audio RE Comps in today and was wondering where I should mount mine. I was thinking about putting them on the a-pillar, near the bottom.

Here's a pic of the comps:

Well Im not sure on places to mount them, but if you dont mind me asking I was wondering how much those cost you. I remember a while back they where $150. I still cant decide if I want to go with those or make up my own set.

RE Audio had group buys going on at caraudio.com and SIN forums and I got them for $129
I also picked up another pair of RE8s for really cheap.

The mid is really beefy and everything looks solid. I hope to get these installed in a couple weeks depending on weather but I may have to wait longer.

I hooked them up to my home stereo to test out and a lot of information was coming out of the tweet so the crossover for it must be a little on the low side.

This is on my '99. But a similiar location on your '90 would be the A-pillar as you already mentioned. Sound is quite nice and the location does wonders for imaging.

Yeah its too bad you missed the GB, although I think their products are still a good deal at reg. price.

Creig,
Thanks for the pics, exactly what I'm looking for. I wish my truck had sail panels, would make it so much easier. I think I'll try out the a-pillar and a couple other spots before mounting them.
