The 7000 and 9000 are like apples to rotten apples, night to day. Pioneer also has a new head unit AVM7300DVD basically the same head unit but plays DVD CD's etc also. Time for a blow out sale again and sell the old and get the new. If you goto the pioneer web site you will see the difference between the 7000 and 9000R unit. Also finially got to play with the amp adjustments and sun filters, the subs really hurt your head now.

I'll be down E-Town tonight messing with the Supra TT. I'll see if he flopps for the first time back this season.

Thanks Silver, I have checked them out before on the on Pioneers website. And I have seen all the differences, but I already have DVD in my room with all the decoding and everything,, don't need it in my car. So I figured the the 7000cd and 7000 control unit would be cool enough for me.

There's more then just that, EQ's, crossovers etc, the adjustments are nuts. You can also adjust each speaker seperatly. You also adjust each part of the unit, Radio, CD, CD changer, DVD,TV,AUX, they can all be adjusted seperatly. If you go with the 8000, you get all the audio adjustments, just minus the Dolby Digital stuff. For the couple of $ extra I'd get the 8000 since movie watching etc is not your gig. The 7000 master unit is weak. What you should do is actually get to finger f&^& them and see for yourself, or hear for yourself. If you happen to not buy anything right away, maybe if we meet again I will go over the unit with you, you'll be amazed. Leaving for e-town, let me know what your paying for the 7000 master unit and I'll see if I can get you a 8000 for about the same price. E-mail if your interested.

Say that after you here it.

Silverx - I still can't believe that your running your comps off the P9000R unit and it sounds that good. I was considering to get the 7000cd unit for my dash and the 7000R unit for control, do you know if they both have the same power (the 9000 and 7000).

Silver I checked it out, your are definately right, the 9000 control is more then what I was looking for, but the 8000 seems so much better the the 7000. Not sure if I'm gonna do it yet. If I decide to spend that much on it I will go with the 7000cd and 8000 control unit. Thanks for the advise, I will get in touch with you if I decide to do it.

Whats your email by the way?
