Thunderform Opinions
Im thinking of purchasing the loaded thunderform box for my 99 reg cab. Does anyone have opinions on how good they sound. Pros or Cons are all appreciated.
Thanks

I have the thunderform box as well, The subs are 8"'s. Anyway.
I've been having problems with mine, limitations you could say. Apparently the RT-120 amp I have running them is underpowered causing too much distortion. The result, this is the second time I've blown the speakers. If it happens again, I best be getting a refund. I am purchasing a new amp. T-6500D (MTX) and reccomendations on what to power the subs, this seemed like my answer.
thanks.

2000 4.2 Supercab XLT
What I've done: K&N filter, Magna flow custom exaust (From where cat's join, 3"in, two 2.5" out the rear), Michelin LTX M/S 265/75/16's, MTX Thunderform custom box with two 6000 series 8" subwoofers and Mtx 120 amp.
Plans: Lund hood deflector, superchip, Poweraid, Xenon sport Flares, (custom ram-air idea?)
New: Pioneer DEH-P6300 Head unit (I definately reccomend it!)

I've got the thunderforms loaded with 6000s. They look great, and the sound is good up to a point. The 10s can't handle much power below 45 Hz without breaking up. If you want a hard hitting, nice looking system they do great, but if you push it very hard you'll find it's limitations. IMHO, two 12's in a custom box would do much better.
I've had a Thunderform for a while with the MTX subs.
Just installed JL Audio W3's. 500% better.
IMHO, buy it without subs and install a good set. The MTX's are alright, but for a little more $, you'll be much happier with the sound.

I have a question to anyone who has/had the factory 6 disc changer in a regular cab. I'd like to get the thunderform but I don't know where to relocate the changer as it is presently mounted directly behind the passenger seat. Any ideas?
