Question Anyone tried or seen Clarion Camouflage sub?

Has any one tried this sub?

It's mounted in an additional console that goes between the factory console and the dash. Apparantly, it's finished in factory colour matched vinyl. It also includes a self contained 100watt amp and it comes with a wiring harness that allows it to simply "plug in" to the oem stereo.

I am looking for a sub and this appears to be a simple solution that wouldn't be intrusive in the cab. In fact, there is a storage tray on top of the sub console tht would handy for sunglasses, phones, etc.

This unit looks very interesting but I'm curious if it looks as good as Clarion says and, of course, I'd like to know how it sounds.

Here's the link where I found it.

Local stereo shop here has a gray one in stock (they only have two colors tan & gray), and I thought about getting it until they placed it into my truck and the gray color doesn't match the color of my "charcol" dash in my 01 Lightning. Also it contain one 8" woofer.

So, hopefully that means that the colour will match my light grey interior. I think that I might have read some where that the sub originally came with an 8", but that it now comes with a 10".

Question

The sub is an 8" and You can get it a t Crutchfield. I am thinking of getting one as well. I do not need the window rattling thump that some people have. I prefer a more accurate or realistic sound.

Question

On the cruthfield and clarion web site they do not list this for the 2001 f-150. Is there a difference. I have not been able to locate anyone selling a 10" version. I would like to put one in my 2001 L, but am waiting to see if it will fit. any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Also states on cruthfield site that product will not connect to premium stereo harness.
