Ext. cab 12in Sub box idea... built

I had a vision for a box that will hold a 12in sub in an extended cab truck. I built this box in 2 days and im waiting to have it covered professionally...until then I just threw some felt on it (as you can see...lol).

What ya guys think? I like it...The 12in Alpine type R sub sounds 4 times better than my 2 10in sonys I used to have.

i had the same dilemma i got my hands on 2 12's in a box for a real good deal but had no room in my ext cab so what i did is i took out the center console between driver and passanger seats and placed the box in there speakers facing up it works great and i didnt lose my arm rest the only thing i lost was that center seat which i never used and 2 cup holders no real loss there.

Qlogic makes a 12 enclosure for a dodge that I use to use in my extended cab. The woofer fired down and sounded great. We had to modify the box a little, but it was worth it.

Heres another pic Corpsie. Notice I fixed up my felt covering alittle bit and it looks nicer than that last pic. Hey I might even keep it like that. The 12 faces toward the front of truck so when your in the front seats it sounds pertty nice. Made it outta MDF. Right now im working on a housing that mounts on top of the box that will hold my 2nd tv in the truck. The housing is done, just can't afford a T.V. cause Shamu doesn't pay me enough at Sea World...lol
