1 AudioBahn A8002T AMP (800w RMS)

What do you guys think? I'm just waiting on my custom sub box to get here and my new head unit, a Pioneer DEH-P9600.

So, what's your thoughts? All welcome.:santa:

Ultimately, your goal should be to recreate the music as the artist intended. Being that a vehicle is far from the perfect listening environment and generally an acoustic nightmare because of resonance and reflections. There is alot of tweaking, damping and speaker placement that can be done that will greatly reduce alot of the problems we face in the car audio world.

It's all about audio nirvana. Once you catch the bug and listen to how good it can be through a high end reference system you will see that the path to audio enlightenment is long and at times frustrating.
Oh ok, I see what you mean.

Thanks RF-1! This is a start to something great! haha.

I've never heard of CDT, mind filling me in?

Oh and I noticed you went into the bed I have to say, I idol your truck. Since the first time I saw it, I've always loved it. Definately good taste, now that I'm getting some money coming in, I'm able to start working on my truck and hopefully I'll have the quality of your truck someday.

Actually I replaced them over a year and a half ago, with some pioneer 5x7s up front, then I took some 6x8s from my dad's f150 and put them in my rear. I put teh stock 6x8's back there becasue I blew my original 5x7s.
Stock is 6x8 right? Just making sure or...if you had stock 6x8's... any particular reason you went with 5x7 and were they a bolt in? -OR- did you blow the pioneers? I'm confused...can you tell?

Were/are you happy with the Pioneers? I blew the right front in my truck. I've been looking at some Pioneer 2-way 6x8's @ around $40-$50 but now I wonder what I should get. No bucks to overhaul the system right now but gotta get the tunes back in the front (running on rears only right now cuz the speaker up front is so bad).

Also, apparently if a F150 speaker is gonna blow, the front passenger one is it because water leaks in and on to it. Was that the speaker you blew?

Finally, sound deading inside the doors seems to come highly recommended. Did you?

Thanks for your time on this Joe and your system should ROCK!

My stock speakers were 5x7's, but my dad's were 6x8's. Yes I'm happy with the Pioneers, but want something better.

Roushfan, sorry, I don't use that one anymore. Email me at
