Question Cu. Ft. air space?

I am looking to get either the

http://musicmooseaudio.com/ford_f_150e2.html

Or the

http://supercrewsound.com/showprod2.asp?prodid=7

After I compared to 2 boxes I noticed that they both have the same amout of CU. FT air space. Even thought the music moose box is bigger.

Could someone explain this, because I have contacted the companies and no one is replying to my E-mails.
Or does someone own/know how these boxes sound.

P.S. I am wanting to put 12" in

Thanks

This can be confusing w/o pictures and illustrations, but when dealing with boxes - the size will greatly effect how a sub sounds.
-Sealed boxes-

Typically a smaller box will sound very tight, and have some type of "amplification" on a given band of frequencies, smaller the box, the higher the frequency that it amplifies. A larger box will be more "linear" and also tend to reach into the lower frequencies better.

Google this program "WINISD" it'll give you an idea what I'm talking about using a graph. Input a sub, change it's box size and enclosure type and it'll chart the subs performance.

1.2 cubic feet is a pretty small amount of volume for 2 12"subs your 30-50 hz is gonna sound pretty soft compared to like 80-125 hz for the same amount of power.

Stuffing boxes with material can have the effect of increasing the box size by 10%

One box could be made of thicker wood and have more interior bracing but still be the same size, which would change it's interior vol.
Also of course the shape of the box, (indentions for seat brackets and woofer clearance) would make a diff.

Yep, but your information was both correct and informative.

Dacron, fiberglass, polyfill.

Do you really want to buy an enclosure from a company that can't answer a simple question?
