Exclamation 02' Xcab Sub box with 2 10's fit under 97' Xcab?

I want to purchase a Sub box with 2 10inch JL audio subs from a dude on ebay. The only problem is, he has a 02 F150 extended cab, i have a 97 extended cab. does anyone know if the seats are the same height and width for both years? or basically will his box fit in my truck with no probs? your help will be greatly appreciated; i want these things bad!

Thanks -
John

Nope it wont ....the 97-99 3 door and 2000 -03 xtra cabs have different seat brackets , so i am pretty sure it wont work .Probox used to make a box with seat lift kit for your truck with .70 cu feet per side and 6.50 inch mountinting depth that should hold most seakers.I just installed a dual 10 box with 2 10in comp vr kickers (with less air space )per side .55 in a 2002 f150 and it had pretty decent bass so the box for yours should be sweet sounding ....hope this helps

Check with probox.com or call them 1-800-919-3313 they can tell you if there is a dealer near you or they may even ship one to you ...

I have a 98 and I used a box made for a 00-03. I used a 2" lift and I had to take out a bracket underneath the seat. Of course the box you are looking at may be different but it may be possible to make it work.

thanks for the help - where can i pick up some of those lift brackets. i saw one at subbox.net and it was 125 dollars for a 2 inch lift! I would rather just buy some other box and forget about having 10's

Thanks for all you rhelp though!

for the future reference, i need a 400 watt amp, any suggestions for the kind? Also want new speakers eventually, again, any suggestions?! Thanks

I made my own lift out of some 1" square tube. Cut two pieces of tube to fit between the bracket and the seat on both sides. Stack two pieces on top of each other and drill holes through them. The only other thing you will need is some longer bolts. I painted mine with some textured black spray paint that looks like the factory finish on the brackets. Cost me about $20 and you can get everything at home depot.

kicker kx 400.1 will slam just about any pair of 10inch subs you put in ( get good ones )( like comp vr 10 ) get right ones to make 2ohm mono and should have no problem
