04 Rear Seat Lift Kit

Does anyone know if any manufacturer is making a rear seat lift kit for the 04 F150 Super Cab? If so who? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't think it's possible because of the design. I did see one guy on here that stuffed what looked like 1/2" MDF under the front bolts and imagined it was lifting the front of the seat up a little bit.

The back of the seat bottom is mounted to the floor under the seat back. If that part was to be lifted, it's gonna throw off the mounts for the back of the seat (which are clips like on the door panels that slide down and into place) and the center seatbelt will not even be close to lining up since it bolts onto the back wall of the cab which is not going to move. Trust me, I tried thinking of everything before I ripped out my back seat.

Thanks Sticker Steve, I kinda knew the answer to that but was really hoping I could get a little more room under the seat. Oh well.

Make sure to let us know if you come across anything. It would really help give us 04 guy's some options when it comes to getting it under the seat and having a better selection of subs to choose from.

Sticker Steve,

Sorry to say, I finally gave up on adding subs. No MDF locally after taking out rear seat. Box was buildable but the speakers I wanted to install were just too deep without a seat lift. Also only had enough room for one amp. Was going to install the second under the passengers seat then found out it wouldnt fit there. Sending the subs back tomorrow for refund. Maybe Ill tackle this again at a later date, if I can find some different subs that I like and get creative with a place to put the other amp.

That sucks but I hear ya. There has to be an answer on this seat thing.

I just met up with Fazman from the forum here and he got an RF 800 and RF 400 on the back wall behind the back seat. That is definatley something to keep in mind when you need room for amps.

if your supercab backseat is 60/40, jus lift the 40 seat up and put the sub there

I am putting 4 JL Audio 6 1/2" subs under the back seat, in a ported downfiring box. I am mounting the 500/5 JL amp on the back of one of the rear seats. If need be, we are going to cut out an area in which to place it. I dont think anyone will ever think to look on the back of a seat that does not fold down when I trade this in, in a few years. I had the same subs in my Explorer, and they sounded fantastic, very accurate, and surprisingly loud. Oh, I have an '04 S-Crew. Good luck finding a solution, I will let you know as soon as they are done with mine (16th).

The only problem with putting that amp there is if you have to do any adjusting to gains and such or have any wire problems you will have to unscrew your seat just to get to it. That would be a pain in the ***. Also you will not be able to see the lights on the amp that tells you if your in over load protection. If you have thought of all of this and are o.k. with it, disregard this.
Just some things to think about.
Good luck!

I have been wanting to know the same thing. I just bought a box from subbox.net that claimed it will fit but there are really no good subs to fit the mounting depth. I had to make some 3/4 " spacer rings to fit an Audiobahn 1000 Q 10" in the box. I got the sub to work but with the seat down it would be sitting on the floor. The box sounds pretty good. After some research i found out that subbox.net is buying their boxes from soundoffaudio.com out of FL. they are alittle cheaper. I will let you guys know when I get this to work I am determined. Just like I got 3 JL 8w6's behind the seat in my Sporttrac. If any one figures out a seat lift please let me know. and if anyone wants to see pics I've got em

twcpres, I fit the same subs in the same box your trying to and here was my solution. I removed the carpet around the area that the seat sits on. I was targeting the spacers that give the box a little more depth. I then removed those pieces of MDF and cut the square out bigger so the sub would fit in the mount. Made sure everything fit then cut new 3/4" squares to mount over the sub but there was still a little room needed so i carved out the wood where the frame was hitting the new squares. I also gave it as much room as possible for the pole vent to still work. It wasn't ideal, but it worked. My biggest problem with that setup was they only got down to around 50hz. 1 sub did get down to 38hz in the same enclosure but I packed it up and started over. It did fit completly under the seat but suspected the sub to be bottoming out on the carpet.

The other and more suggested option is to get the AWT 310. They are the aluminum pro compression driver from abauhn. They have a mounting depth of 4.5" 1000RMS and I believe they will fit with no mods. I sold my box to FAZ MAN and he put one in the box and say's it sounds good. I have not heard it since he got it going. We found the sub at e-bay for pretty cheap if i remember right was under $150

Overall, i was less than pleased with the box I bought. But one mans trash is another mans treasure
