Funny Story

A few months ago, my boss told me two of his factory speakers were blown, and asked me if I would install new speakers for him. He has a 1993 Chevy

I told him to order some new speakers and bring over a case of beer and I would install the speakers for him. A couple weeks later he comes over with the new speakers (and beer ) and we take all the factory speakers out.

After all the speakers were out I asked him if he wanted to see how crappy the factory speakers were, and he said yes...so I cut the screens off of all the speakers and guess what I saw...two ripped up paper cones and two brand new paper cones. I started laughing and he didn't realize what had happened. The two "blown" speakers were never hooked up at the factory and haven't played a single note of music in 11 years.

Gotta love Chevy trucks...

Hey good one!

Man, I've installed a few speakers in GM1500's in my day, if you were brave enough to remove the rear speakers and get the truck put back together again - i bow before you! Try finding a install shop to do it less than $75!! -if at all! I was never able to remove the rear cab panels and put 'em back together without chevy plastic breaking everywhere! Love the ford trucks though - doesn't get much easier!

The plastic is terrible...my boss was yanking at the back panel trying to get it off and a huge chunk of plastic broke off. Luckily he was able to super-glue it back.

This is why I never pry on someone else's vehicle. If it doesn't come off easy, I make them do it.
