i dont really understand what ur askin but i also think ur in the wrong forum... but maybe u can be more specific in what ur asking and someone will be able to answer u. i suggest year of truck for starters and better wording ur queston.

hopefully we can help or u can repost in a different forum

No, he is in the right Forum Player. He is talking about either a spacer ring, trim ring, mounting ring or a grill ring. Some speakers us a twist and lock ring for mounting (like some tweets for surface mounting). It is hard to tell you exactly what it is unless you will post a pic of it. Other than that I would suggest you try the old addage "When all else fails, read the manual." The manual will tell everything you need to know.

I have the speakers your talkin' about. And mine came with those brackets too. Not sure what they're for, so I didn't use them. I think they are for raising the speaker up away from the surface of the door to make more mounting depth in certain applications where there isn't enough room for the speaker to fit. That's just my guess.
