Pro Box

I was looking at the PB-F-2-10 (dual 12" box) by Pro Box for the Lightning. I'm wondering if anyone has this perticular box, or has had experience with them. What are they made out of? They say it's 5/8 MDF, but what's that? Says there's a poly urethane surrounding to expand the bass response. I want to know the opinions of this box from the people who own it. Thank you all for your time.

Here's a pic of it...

I don't have your exact box but can let you in on your other questions. MDF is Maximum density fiberboard and is what you want your enclosure made from. The polyurethane surrounding is to seal the MDF off since it is pourus.

I would say more important that "how does this box sound" would be the question how many cubic feet is it and what speakers would sound the best in an enclosure that size.

Nice looking box!

I don't have that exact box but I did buy a Pro Box. I have been extremely pleased with my box and the company. The only problem I had was that my particular subs were slightly larger than the box cutouts, but I emailed the owner and he explained how to fix it. So if you do order tell him what subs you have or are thinking of getting and he can adjust the box for you. It was my fault, not his. I thought the construction, price, and service was great. He even gave me a free shirt.

I have their box in my Supercrew. I had them custom size it for an 8" woofer because that is all that I wanted. I think it sounds great and am really happy with the fit and finish.

I've got the probox superbass for the 1 10" sub. It sounds great. The guy at probox said it will perform twice as good as the one for 2 10's.

I've got one Eclipse 10 and it does all I need and them some.
