Shout out to Matt for his help...

This is a shout out to my man Matt for coming through on the recent SuperCrew custom sub box design that he freely shared. While I didn't use his design directly, I borrowed heavily from it to make my box. I couldn't have done it without ya! Matt's design w/ some enhancements that I made now allow for a 5.75" sub mounting depth and a total interior volume of 0.68 cf (less woofer driver displacement).

Enhancements were increases in internal dimensions:
  • 4.5" to 5"
  • 9.5" to 10.25"
  • 22.5" to 23.5"
  • Added 3/4" x 3/4" x 23.5" brace lenthwise to both rear horizontal corners.
  • 45° Bevel Cut on the top and bottom rear horizontal corners.
  • Modified side panels to fit the contour of the new box shape.

Pictures to follow shortly.

SWEET!

Tony

Do you guys think we should put all the sub plans for all different trucks up on this site so people can just download them from the site for their model of truck and bulid them i have plans for a 01+ supercab, and then my plans for the supercrew. Just thought it might be handy for the people that dont want to waste their money and build their own. And if so how to go about uploading them. thanks again

Thanks and Kudos

I would like to thank M_Brandl also for the plans. If you search this and other Forums you will find tons of folks looking for just this data. I guess it's up to the Moderaters to formally post it here? I don't think this represents a threat to the other enclosure makers as there are people who will build their own and those who won't take the time or energy to do so. Kinda like Homebrewers! I find it reassuring that there are people like M_Brandl in this forum who are willing to share their work with others. One question is how will this affect the server? I suspect there will be quite a lot of traffic seeking these plans.

How are you designs made? Are they in picture format or text?

I'm going to be designing a box pretty soon, it'll be totally custom, and bad *** looking. This thing will take some serious time and effort.
