kenwood

i was looking in a crutchfield catalog and found these kenwood subs.
the peak RMS rating is 300 watts
Hz is 28-800
SPL is 91

Im not sure on the model, they have a swirly like silver color middle with a red W in the middle

im thinkin of the 10 inchers and they are buy one get one free
(2 for 120 bucks)

Ok, my question is, how is kenwood for reliability and such. Are they built well or cruddy?
Im not asking if they sound good(persional preferance)

Anyway, any comments or anything about these subs would be appriciated.

If you have a crutchfield catalog (fall 2003/winter 2004)the are on page 65 at the bottom.

Mahalo <-------just came from hawaii, still kinda in the mood

Cant say Im a Fan of them.

One of my freinds has the top of the line kenwood sub with the teflon like cone, Its not bad but those subs are like kenwoods bottom line subs and I have heard them also, and I would have to agree, dont buy them.

Turn to page 67 and check out the alpine type-R, not a bad sub, same with the Infinity Kappa Perfect.

good luck

I use to have to kenwood 12's. They were the silver tornadoes. I can't say nothing bad about them, they never let me down. Also had 2 year warranties and a reputible name to back them up. I'd say "If you want some decent subs get them." They were my first set of subs and I loved them for what they were.

The same catalog has 2 MTX Thunder6000A's for $150...might be a better deal.

Someone also suggested the Alpine's...2 for $130

Also, I had a friend suggest this deal to me:

http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/XTAZ1042FOR1

But I dont know how good they are *shrug* they said they were pretty good.
