door panel mods?

Anyone ever modify the speaker grill area of the door panel? I have a 98 F150 XLT and i'm getting ready to upgrade the speakers. I am leaning towards Infinity KAPPA 572.5CF's for the doors and i'm not sure if i'm going to mach them in the back or go with some cheapies. The reason i ask about the door panel is because i noticed the Kappa's have directional tweeter adjustments. I'm just wandering if that would even be effective without removing the actual grill area on the panel and covering the opening with some speaker fabric.

Also maybe a few suggestions on the back speakers. I'm not going with any subs or amps at this time. Is there anything i can put in the back panels without tweeters in them to give a little more bass to compliment the Kappa"s in the front.

I have a 2 or 3 year old Pioneer h/u that i may upgrade soon.

Thanks

Use your included grille if you got it...

I didn't have to. I used the grille that came with the speakers (Alpine), made my adjustments, then popped the grille on. It didn't impede with the door panel when I reinstalled it. The only trouble is getting the tweeter swiveled right first, before putting everything together.
