Thumbs down speaker cutting in and out

Hello...This is my first time posting here so go easy. I have also recently converted from Chevy to Ford. My question is about the door speakers. I'm assuming these speakers are still the original 6X8 el cheapo's. What i'm expirencing is my drivers side speaker keeps cutting in and out. Usually a swift smack on the door panel or an increase in volume will bring it back but then eventually it cuts out again. Is this a speaker problem or a grounding problem? The original deck has been changed out for a Pioneer CD player/reciever so that's why i was thinking about a grounding problem if the wires were not secured properly. Actually this is good news cuz it gives me a reason to replace my speakers. Any insight will be a big help...Thanks

Question what year is the truck

It may just be time to replace the El Cheapos. I replaced mine when i only had 4,000 miles on the truck haha. Anyway you could check the wires, or just do that when you replace the front speakers with a sick set of components.

good luck
